Jerantut Trip Update !

WELL DONE on a successfull and meaningful trip to Jerantut guys.

The response to the RSC coaching clinic in Jerantut was overwhelming. We were told to expect around 60 school kids. But when we turned up at the Jerantut town padang, we were taken aback to see 120 school kids waiting anxiously for us. This shows that there is interest in the game and all it needs is to lay the foundation well. We managed to conduct the coaching programme well within our time. This is all due to the good governance and execellent stewardship of our Dato Yoges. The assigned coaches, Sambu, St John Davies, Dato Poon together with the rest of players performed admirabily to handle the 120 kids. Our national coach, Stephen Van Huizen, imparted his knowledge to the teachers present there.Therein lies the future of hockey in Jerantut. Our Convenor, James Sia, was in his busy element taking photos, meeting with the officials and ensuring all was in order. We were fortunate to have with us Letchi ( MAS IFS) who also aided in taking photos of the kids in action. And the kids that tagged along with the parents, they also joined in the coaching programme. So all in all, it was a successful programme, as in one way or another all who travelled contributed a small part. No one person can claim to have a major share.
To those of you who missed out on the trip, we sincerely hope that you will be able to make it next year.
