13 July 2013 was a special day for Winsan Mariadass as he finally tied the knot in Seremban. Since many of us were heading south for the reception, the hockey section took this opportunity to also squeeze in some hockey, playing the Royal Sungei Ujong Club (RSUC) at Seremban 2 hockey stadium.
The heavy downpour in the evening was a real damper, but the moment the sun was back out again, so were the hockey boys!
It turned out to be a great game, played in fantastic spirits, with RSC winning 7-1. The toast of our team was Nicky Poon, who bagged 5 of these goals! It was also great to see some of the 'veteran' players turning up - Sambu and Charles, do hope to see you guys on the hockey pitch more frequently!
After the match, we had our usual drinks and friendly banter, and proceeded to RSUC for a quick shower and change before heading to Seremban Town Hall for the wedding reception.
The hall was filled to the brim with seemingly the whole town turning up. It was a loud, colorful and very happy function - and you would not expect anything less from our resident entertainer! Congratulations Winsan and Nalayini!
Befitting of any clubber, immediately after the formalities, the boys headed back to RSUC to enjoy the club facilities and the comfort of our drinks well into the cool Seremban night.
Yet another fun-filled day for the hockey boys!
