Penang Sports Club - Interport (15 March 2014)

After several rescheduled dates since last year, we finally agreed on 15 March 2014 as the date for our interport at Penang.

Always a welcome trip for the hockey section, as it's not just hockey but lots of makan-makan as well.

Led by Colin Sta Maria, it was a game of 2 halves. PSC won the 1st half 6-0, whilst RSC won the 2nd half 2-1 after some restructuring at half time.

Then again... Who's counting, right?

The usual camaraderie with our Penang friends followed by more makan-makan on the island food paradise!

A good trip as usual, and already looking forward to our next visit to Penang in June!

KL Bar Games (22 Feb 2014)

Hot day.... Very hot day... But RSC prevailed 5-1 against the KL Bar boys!

Scorers - Terence (1), Sambu (1), Nicky (1) and Jay (2).

KL Bar took their revenge in the Boatrace, despite a valiant effort from James Sia.

KLHA Division 4A - 3rd placing

Last 2 games of the league and what an epic end! Beating the 2 teams (UM Staff 4-2 and UIA Alumni 4-1) above us and leap-frogging into 3rd place!

Not bad for arguably the 'most mature' team of the league!

Grass Hockey at Kiara

The weather was just nice on the evening of 18 January 2014, to have a lovely game of hockey at our Kiara Annexe ground. It has been awhile since we last played in our ground. The turnout was fantastic and our RSC home team were playing with our opponents, who also had some of our own players.

It was an interesting game which ended with RSC winning by 5-4 . The game was close, and it was great playing on grass, compared to frequent visit to the astroturf. The opposing team led by Viki comprised of soccer section members and surprisingly, they were able to play even after a long long lay off. Siva and Dato Poon also brought their sons to play and the boys played better than their dads.

The committee has decided to have this once a month and would hope to see more of section members
participating in the coming months.
