RSC play Bridesmaid's role again

Our boys once again had to play second fiddle to Ipoh Lads at the PSC Stanford Hockey Fest at the PSC grounds in Penang last weekend. In the final, the veteran Ipoh side defeated RSC 2-0 to successfully defend their title. Nevertheless, our players should hold their heads up high for going all the way to the final once again despite having a number of players who's age were 50 years above. This tournament allows players who are 40 years and above to participate and most of the players from Ipoh Lads were in the 40 - 45 age range. Congrats to the team for making us proud once again and it just goes to show that age is just a number. PSC Stanford Hockey Fest

RSC will be taking part in the PSC Stanford Hockey Fest this weekend, 7th August 2010 at the PSC grounds. This one day affair is a 9-a-side tournament and is open to players aged 40 years and above. For the record, we finished as runners-up last year and hope to come back with the title this time around. Among the players who will be representing RSC this year are former internationals Datuk Poon Foke Loke, Colin Sta Maria, M.A. Sambu, K. Dharmaraj, St.John Davies and Terence Rajasingham. Others include Stuart Mayo, James Andrew, Alex Voon, Bobby Ho, James Sia, Simon See, Captain Azman and K. Mohan. Our very own Vicky ( Boy ) will be the manager for the trip up north. Up to date, a total of 10 teams will be participating in this veteran tournament. The hockey section wishes the team Good Luck & All the Best with the hope that they will be bringing home the title on Sunday evening.
