A beautiful day for hockey....that almost didn't make it !

It was already 2pm on Saturday, 3rd April 2021....with only 9 players on the roll call confirmed for the evening game, we were on the verge of calling off the game.

However, a stern and timely warning from Kapaay got everyone going...and what a turnout it eventually was.

To top it off, it was a beautiful day for hockey! Cloudy, cool and windy.

A surprise appearance by Dato Yoges also added to the atmosphere and put everyone into a great mood for some social hockey.

The brighter team won 19-10, by virtue of Filo scoring 2 goals ( 1 Filo goal = 5 goals ) despite Kapaay's defensive effort. Fantastic display of opportunistic goal-poaching by Siva, scoring 7 goals vs former Malaysia International I. Vicky ( or so he declared )

Cheers all around for a hard fought game played with absolute sportsmanship, followed by the usual makan-minum after the game.
