Taking the opportunity on a long Merdeka weekend, the Prince-of-Wales Veterans from Penang visited RSC on 1 Sept 2012 (Saturday) and indulged in a bit of hockey on the green grass pitch at Kiara Sports Annexe.
It was more a meeting of old friends (perhaps reliving some old rivalries as well?) and the game was played in 3 sessions of 20mins each (no prizes for guessing why!) on a hot humid afternoon.
The visitors were quick to take the lead, as they put in a goal in the 1st session. This woke RSC up and we picked up the pace of the game (yes, it is possible!) with goals from Colin and Dato Poon in the 2nd and 3rd session, which sealed the game for us!
Everyone was glad to hear the final whistle and were more than happy to proceed to the drinks and makan kecil organised at the Pavilion Terrace for some merry-making!
A big thanks to our friends from upnorth for making this trip to RSC!
