This 9 a-side veteran’s tournament on 25 August 2012 saw an RSC team comprising of Dato Poon, Siva Subramaniam (Captain), Vicky Boy (Keeper) , James Andrew, Jay Ooi, Sanjay Saigal, Mango, Arun Kumar, Chris Tan, Sheeda, Bernard and Sambu, start out on this early Saturday morning. The team was managed by Bobby Ho and the tournament had 16 teams playing at Tun Razak Stadium. Convenor James Sia was, as usual, rendering his support to the team.

The results saw RSC in a goalless draw with MUGS in our first game, but started to fire in all cyclinders as we romped to a 3-0 win over Intermaha Logistics in the next game. Goals were scored by Sheeda, Jay Ooi and Sambu. The third game was against the host Liquorice All Sorts and it ended with a goalless draw again.

Bobby praying before Mango's penalty! |
In the afternoon, penalty flicks were held to decide who top the group. RSC won it through Mango‘s flick and met the Ipoh Lads in the quarterfinals. Unfortunately, RSC bowed out to a solitary goal against the run of play, signaling the end of the tournament for us, and the start of the socialising!

'Not yet' says the Captain! |
In all , it was a fantastic tournament and the team continued to party on till the end of the tournament .
Hats off to the organizers as they had created a carnival like atmosphere with some good bangra music and always ensuring everyone were in for a good time.
We would like to thank the organizers and hope to participate again next year.
PASSION FOR THE GAME !
